Incredibly thin and beautifully crafted by the ever meticulous artisans at Kihachi Workshop, the oldest producer of wooden products in the Yamanaka region of Japan. Thin, light and delicate with a distinctive finish stunning woodgrains creating one-off pieces. These have been hand turned on an electric potter’s wheel out of ‘Sen’ wood, or Castor-aralia, using a technique that Kihachi’s craftsmen have mastered over six generations.

The most noticeable characteristics are the fantastic markings on the surface of the bowl, as well as the flowing open shape. The markings are naturally occurring and make each plate unique. The perfect, thin walls make them easy to hold and beautiful on the eye, definitely a vessel to cherish. The rim is curved to help catch food as you serve.
This diversely used natural plate is not only for serving meals but also it is a great complement for any kitchen or living-room. Each plate comes in a presentation box and is a beautiful gift. Available in two sizes.
